Provisioning
When contracting with Northcore our customers are given detailed information outlining their specific application environment and are updated as the installation and deployment progresses. From staging to production the provisioning group ensures customers are kept up to date on changes and their impact to work-flow activities. The provisioning group also supports pre-production testing and acceptance.

Management and Operations
Northcore provides high availability web-based services which require a stable platform to maintain service continuity. Northcore maintains the environment by delivering Security and Firewalls, Backup and Recovery, Development Tools Support, Database Servers, Application Development and QA Services, Web Servers and Communications.

Security and Firewalls
Northcore's secure environment is built using sophisticated firewall, perimeter router, intrusion detection, scanning and testing of hardware and software products.

Backup and Recovery
Northcore provides secure and reliable backup and recovery services, including:
• Continual daily backups of production systems, system and log files
• Full off-site storage of all tapes both production and system
• Time to recovery planning
• Formal escalation and resolution process

Development Tools Support
Based on Microsoft windows platform, Northcore utilizes the latest technologies for rapid development including a custom Service Oriented Architecture for all applications to achieve high availability and a robust solution.

Northcore's Application Servers incorporate Clustered Windows Severs, IIS 6.0/5.0, .Net /Com+ Components, Microsoft Message Queue, and SMTP Service.

Database Servers
Northcore's Database Servers, built on a Load balanced Active/Active Microsoft Windows Server, and Microsoft SQL Server.

Application Development and Quality Assurance Services
Northcore's development tools include Microsoft® Visual Studio .Net, ASP scripts, Visual C++, VB Script, ISAPI DLL, and MS Java. We are dedicated to ensure the interoperability of our applications with customers Internet connections.

Web Servers
Northcore's Web Servers incorporate Windows Servers, IIS 5.0,6.0, COM+ Components, Microsoft Message Queue, Microsoft .Net 1.1,2.0,3.0 and Active Server pages plus SMTP Service.

Communications
Northcore has a 45 MB ATM connection carrying IP traffic, which provides resiliency and fault tolerance required for the high available environment demanded by our customers.
